Good resources, but watch the checkout!
anyone else find shutterstock's pricing a bit much sometimes? i was looking for some cinematic music tracks and yeah, the selection is solid, really high quality stuff. and the royalty-free photos are awesome, definitely a good range there. but trying to apply a promo code at checkout was a bit of a headache, had to really hunt for where to put it in. it's not super clear, especially if you're comparing it to canva or even adobe stock where it's usually right there. still, the assets are good, just wish the savings part was smoother.

i was trying to find some royalty-free music for a new project and shutterstock totally delivered! it was super easy to browse and find exactly what i needed, like the track 'uplifting acoustic corporate background'. the prices were great too, especially with a 27% off code i found. my only small complaint is that i had a little trouble figuring out the difference between a Standard and Enhanced license at first, but i got there! definitely recommending to all my creative friends and i'll be back for sure!
Good for textures, but watch those promos
Shutterstock is pretty good, similar to Depositphotos but with a bit more variety in specialized areas like textures. I was looking for some unique background remover options, and their library had a decent selection. My only minor gripe is that applying promo codes is sometimes tricky, they really only want one per order and usually for new subscriptions, not credit packs. It makes getting a discount a bit less flexible than I'd like. Still, definitely useful for commercial projects.
Always reliable for my content needs
Anyone else keep coming back to Shutterstock for their stock content? I've used them for years, switching between them and Adobe Stock depending on specific needs, but Shutterstock is consistently good. I was looking for some new podcast intro music and a few aerial footage clips last week, and their library is just huge and easy to navigate. The subscription model works well for me since I download a lot of assets every month, and the promo codes, when they pop up, are always for about 15% off new subscriptions, which is a nice bonus at checkout. Definitely prefer their selection over Pond5 for video.

yesterday i grabbed some editorial images and they're good quality but trying to figure out how to actually download them after purchasing was a bit of a headache. i found it eventually but it wasn't super clear from the start. still, the images themselves are fine for the price.
